Oil Filters
How to Replace Your Ford Oil Filter DIY
Whichever Ford vehicle you drive, if it's time for an oil change, it's also the best time to change your oil filter. If your oil pump's stressed, it's almost certainly time anyway. Even more so, if its bearings are worn out, if you've lost oil pressure, there's an oil warning light on the dash, and if the engine's not running as well as it should be.
Luckily, it's an easy job you can save money doing yourself. (For your model's specifics, double-check your owner's manual.) All you'll need in most cases is a pan to drain the old oil into, a pair of work gloves, filter and socket wrenches, a mallet, and of course, some fresh motor oil. Just be sure your engine's warm (not hot) before you start.
After that, the best way to help the oil filter last longer is to regularly inspect it, every 3,000 miles or every 3 months; when it gets clogged or overly dirty, replace it. Not sure how to install one? No problem; a Ford service center can help

Oil Filters For Your Vehicle
Your vehicle needs oil filters to help remove particles and contaminants from your vehicle’s engine oil so that the oil continues to function properly. Changing your oil filters is just as important as changing the oil because it helps to prevent dirt and debris from spreading throughout the engine. If you go too long without replacing your oil filters, your vehicle’s engine can become clogged, leading to long-term issues.
Why Are Oil Filters Important?
Oil filters play an important role in the lifespan of your vehicle's oil and engine. It’s recommended to get your oil filters changed every time you get your oil changed. Your vehicle is an investment; oil travels all through the engine to keep it lubricated, so it only makes sense to keep the oil clean with high-quality oil filters.
Why Choose OEM Oil Filters
When you choose to purchase an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part, you’re actually maintaining the efficiency of your vehicle. OEM oil filters are designed to handle the exact pressures, flow rates, temperatures, and filtration requirements that your engine demands. OEM oil filters are held to a high standard, so you can rest assured that they will last and keep your vehicle operating smoothly for years to come. Choosing OEM oil filters also means you’re steering clear of potential issues that could occur if you purchased aftermarket parts.
